The postal ballot: If you are working and living overseas, and would like to vote in the 14th Malaysian General Election (GE-14) but for one reason or another, are unable to return home, to cast your vote in person, try the postal ballot.
The process is simple enough. Just fill in the form at this link, and send it to the address at the top right hand corner of the form.
You will be notified by email, once your application has been approved.
Conditions:
1. You must be a registered voter.
2. You have been in Malaysia or returning to Malaysia not less than 30 days within five years before the dissolution of Parliament or State Assembly.
3. You MUST come back home to vote if you are living in southern Thailand (Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Songkhla and Satun), Singapore, Brunei and Kalimantan province, Indonesia.
Download Borang 1B, fill it up and send it back to the EC (address provided in the form).
Please share this information and link, with other Malaysian voters overseas.
NB: FYI, if the above link does not work, go to the SPR website (see here), then look under “Hebahan”, then look for “Pengumuman (23 Jan 2018 12:11AM)” and click the relevant application form.

Is it too late to submit my Borang 1B?
This is my 1st time registering for Postal vote. Currently I am living in Toronto and keep in mind the time difference is 12 hours.
Please advise. Thank you.
Does anyone know when will be the last day to fill and return Borang 1B application for postal vote ?
The midnight of the day he announced the dissolution of parliament.
I did register to vote as a postal voter but was told to go to Washington DC to cast my “postal vote”. Washington DC is a whole day trip to from Fort Myers, Florida and two plane trips: Fort Myers to Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta to DC plus hotel for overnight stay.
