Here is how Muhyiddin “saves” Malaysia. First. He is silent over the “Khairuddin-Quarantine-Cock-up”. Next, he passes the buck to the authorities. Then, the MoH does a cover-up & finally, PAS heaps more arrogance upon Khairuddin’s desire for special treatment.

The “Khairuddin-quarantine-cock-up” proves one thing. Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level, with their years of experience.

Trust PAS and Muhyiddin Yassin to politicise the Khairuddin fiasco, but one thing is clear.

The Plantation, Industries and Commodities Minister, Khairuddin Aman Razali, has embarrassed the Muhyiddin Yassin government. He and them, know that he did wrong, but they are too arrogant to admit this.

The PN government will crucify ordinary members of the rakyat for flouting the quarantine rules, but when one of their own kind breaks the law, they all go quiet.

First, Muhyiddin Yassin was silent.

When he finally spoke-out, he merely passed the buck to the enforcement authorities, to punish Khairuddin for violating the quarantine order after returning from Turkey on 7 July.

Muhyiddin only broke his silence, after days of increasing anger when Malaysians vented their fury with the double standards (antara dua darjat – between two classes) about quarantine rules for those who return from overseas.

So, is this Muhyiddin’s idea of “saving” Malaysia? More double standards? Malaysians suspect a cover-up by the Ministry of Health.

On 18 August, MoH said that it was investigating Khairuddin. Then on 23 August, MOH said that he paid the fine on 7 August. Really? Are they also suggesting that Khairuddin himself was not aware he had paid the fine? Both Khairuddin and the MOH cannot even lie properly.

The excuses and justifications to protect Khairuddin are getting more ridiculous. PAS claims that DAP is jealous of PAS. How insecure is PAS?

PAS Vice president, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, said that there was no Khairuddin cluster and so the rakyat need not worry.

This minister also said that lorry drivers transporting vegetables to Singapore are not quarantined. Clearly, PAS ministers are more stupid than they look. They have completely missed the point.

If we were to go by their reasoning, why bother with quarantine? Just return the fines that were paid by various individuals for flouting the quarantine rules, but did not test positive for Coronavirus.

So, is Khairuddin not charged to avoid him from being disqualified as the Kuala Nerus MP? PN only holds a slim majority in parliament.

On 13 August, Defence Minister, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, said that those who flouted their quarantine would be brought straight to court instead of being issued a compound.

Khairuddin is an unknown plucked from the back waters of Kelantan to head an important portfolio.

Power and position have got to his head. For him, the normal laws and quarantine rules don’t apply to him. This is Ketuanan Melayu mentality

Khairuddin’s trip to Turkey from 2 to 7 July was first raised by Seputeh MP Teresa Kok in the Dewan Rakyat on 18 August.

Strange that Khairuddin did not state that he had paid a fine on 7 August.

This is why Malaysians suspect that there is a cover-up.

Muhyiddin is a weak leader. When things go wrong, he simply passes the buck to his enforcement authorities. A decisive leader would not hesitate and sacked Khairuddin.

Who does Muhyiddin serve?

Himself?

PAS?

The rakyat?

Muhyiddin has pancreatic cancer. That makes him a high risk group because he has an underlying health issue. Khairuddin’s lack of responsibility should worry him.

If Muhyiddin was really concerned, he would sack Khairuddin for endangering parliament, members of the public and himself.

The popular graphic does not cover the full extent of the injustice:
    – The lady had to attend court.
    – She was sentenced to 1 day in jail.
    – Even jobless people are not spared.
    – For the Minister, someone in the Health Ministry became law enforcer, violating the Police decision to prosecute all the offenders in court.
