I marched because I have seen the steady decline of a rich country, which at one time, was great – the people, the place, the atmosphere.
I joined Bersih because I witnessed the destructive effect of racial and religious intolerance, and want to tell the government, they have failed us.
The 1MDB scandal is not the only corruption scandal to hit Malaysia. There were scores of corruption scandals before 1MBD.
My parents’ generation did not have the internet to be informed about the wrongdoings in government, which occurred during their time. So, we endured decades of abuse of power, of corruption and of injustice. I have seen the rise of cronyism and nepotism.
I am doing my bit now, to help try to put things right, for the love of King and country; more importantly, I am doing this for future generations of Malaysians.
Please come and join me, to share the views of two outstanding Malaysians – Maria Chin Abdullah of Bersih and Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin of G25, about the future direction of Malaysia.
