Most of us thought that puppets are only found in the theatre. Actually, a few are also found in the Malaysian judiciary.
It does not feel as if disgraced Najib Abdul Razak is on trial. In the eyes of the public, the judges are.

The judiciary under Pakatan Harapan (PH) was slow and taking their own sweet time to try the corrupt politicians, spouses and cronies.
Najib, his spouse, and equally contemptible politicians like Zahid Hamidi, and the other corrupt Umno-Baru politicians, should have had their bails revoked. They should have been held on remand, awaiting trial. When they appear in court, they should have been handcuffed and forced to wear orange jumpsuits.
Instead, they act like there were on an extended vacation, free to move around and tell their supporters that they cannot be jailed, because they are ‘innocent’.
The poor who steal cans of sardines because they want to feed their families are handcuffed, wear orange jumpsuits and are treated like common criminals.
The judiciary under Muhyiddin’s Perikatan Nasional (PN) is extremely laid back, completely barmy and appears to be granting favours to the greatest kleptocrat in the world.
The kleptocrat is allowed time off and his trial is allowed to finish early.
Why is the judiciary setting a very bad precedent? How will former judges react?
Obviously, the judiciary in Malaysia humour the rich and powerful. Poor people do not matter. You scratch the rich & powerful people’s backs, and they will scratch yours too.
So, what is happening in the judges’ chambers?
In February, Najib’s trial was postponed yet again, when Najib’s lawyer, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, said that his son’s wedding had been brought forward to 20 February.
Justice stopped and Najib’s trial was postponed so the selebs could go to the wedding. No wonder Malaysia cannot get rid of its image as a corrupt third world banana republic.
If Shafee’s son could not be bothered to tell his father, well in advance about the change of wedding dates, why should the court entertain Shafee’s sudden request to postpone the trial?
Three months, later more nonsense comes out of the KL judiciary.
Today, we are told that the Kuala Lumpur High Court judge, Collin Lawrence Sequerah, allowed the application by Shafee, to end disgraced Najib’s RM2.28 billion 1MDB trial early.
This was to allow Najib the chance to help in the BN campaign for the upcoming Chini by-election this Saturday.
Too add insult to the nation’s misery, the Pekan MP’s trial for tomorrow was also vacated for the same reason.
Last March, Muhyiddin Yassin said that he would like to save Malaysia; but if he can’t even save himself, how on earth can he save us? The Malaysian rakyat needs to be saved from the likes of Muhyiddin and Najib.
We thought Dr Mahathir Mohamad was bad, then we had ‘Klepto’ Najib. We thought Najib was the pits, along came Muhyiddin.
Muhyiddin will go down in history as Malaysia’s worst PM, although, his replacement could prove us wrong!
Why bother with the pretence of holding Najib’s trial? Just set him free and reporters, and concerned law-abiding Malaysians need not bother reading about the lame excuses. Why waste more public money?
After today, a few Malaysian judges will join the ranks of pimps, prostitutes and politicians as the most despised professions in the world.
IscMM may putting in print what may have been perceived to be common knowledge?
The writer is right, why waste everybody’s time and give false hopes to the millions hoping to see real justice? Just withdraw all charges against people like Najib to end the charade.
So, I say “Welcome back Malaysia!” Or did the real Malaysia never left in the first place?
Exactly! Let d crooks, cheats, liars, con-men etc. etc. continue with their plunder!! V insist on being stuck in a feudal state right? Life still goes on like in Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka, the worst of d lot. After all, its only about R, R n my pockets. Hip!Hip!Hurrah!!
