Do you think this image is an insult to Islam?

“Welcome to Afganu!” is the caption of the image below, on someone’s FB post.

It is a hilarious image but it upset the Taliban inspired PAS youth of Terengganu.

This month, two female Muslims represented Terengganu in diving at the 2024 Malaysian Games.

Despite winning medals in their events, the PAS state government of Terengganu were mortified because the girls were not wearing syariah compliant outfits.

Incidentally, female gymnasts are also barred from these events.

Aurat! Aurat! Aurat! they scream and yet the state, like other east coast states, record the highest viewing figures for pornographic online sites.

Questions:

1. Do you think this image is an insult to Islam?
2. Do you a police report should be lodged?
3. Do you agree that the Talibans have established a colony in Terengganu?

The Taliban inspired PAS led government in Terengganu deserve to be mocked by Malaysians and the wider international community.

The recent bans on what women can wear and do in the state, will of course stimulate creative minds to depict the regressive minds of the men in authority in the state.

In Terengganu, the men ‘do’, the women are expected to ‘obey’

The Terengganu PAS Youth Wing will soon be lodging a police report tomorrow over this satiricial depiction of the state’s ban on Muslim female athletes in certain sports.

A representative of the Kuala Nerus PAS Youth  said, “Day by day, those who make fun of Islam are getting worse because they feel they have strong connections that allow them to hide behind fake accounts.

“We hope the police will conduct a detailed investigation alongside the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to find out who is this person insulting Islam.”
