You’ve heard about the “Yusoff Rawther vs Anwar Ibrahim” civil lawsuit.
Yusoff filed the lawsuit in 2021, which is BEFORE Anwar became the PM.
The courts then set the date for the trial. Yusoff has no choice in the matter
There are many things about the case that do not add up….you may be aware, or perhaps you do not know because it is longwinded and convoluted.
A ‘drama-minggu-ini’ episode is easier to follow, if you ask me.
Of course, there are many more important things that the government, any government in power must address,. eg cost of living crisis, the economy, unemployment, lack of job opportunities etc…
However, there are distractions…like the case above. (If you want to know about other distractions, it is that buffoon Akmal Salleh and his race baiting….)
So, you see, instead of keeping our ministers and MPs in check, we are distracted by cases like the above, because of the allegation. Malaysians are easily titillated by salacious stuff.
However, if you care to read the many newspaper reports about how and why Yusoff Rawther filed the lawsuit, then you will understand why it is important that we must put these distractions to bed.
The only way is to proceed with the trial and be done with it, because hopefully, the truth will emerge, and we can focus on moving forwards.
You may also be aware that Yusoff filed the civil suit because when he initially went to the police about the alleged sexual harassment, it is alleged they said there was lack of evidence or something like that.
(As an aside, some of you said that the young Yusoff is physically stronger than the older Anwar and could easily have overpowered him or stopped him. I have no idea what happened, or if there was anything physical that transpired between the two, but I do know that only the trial will reveal what really transpired, if anything.)
Then some time after filing the lawsuit, if memory serves me well, Yusoff was arrested for having fake firearms and also a stash of drugs in his car.
However, with the reports about how the discovery of these illegal items was made, some of you said, was Yusoff Rawther stitched up…and by whom…and why…?
In the report by The Edge, you may legitimately ask, “Why was the police inspector’s testimony at odds with what the lawyers, prosecutors and judges who examined Yusoff’s car found?”
So this lawsuit is not just about Yusoff’s allegations about sexual harassment but someone, or some people, whom we do not know, are the real puppet masters, and so, ask yourself why? And to what end?
Read the reports…The Edge has adequate coverage….The anonymous tip-off which was extremely detailed. The fact that Yusoff was unable to enter his own car but the police then managed to enter it etc etc…..Then you also wonder…were the illegal items planted….and was their CCTV evidence or was it like in many of these contentious cases, the CCTV was under repiar, or not pointing in the right direction, or switched off or some other buffoon like reason.
I trust you will read up on the other reports about this case, because you should come to your own assessment & conclusion.
However, the trial will hopefully tell us why and how etc.
These distractions must end so we as a nation can move forwards, so that we can work wholeheartedly towards holding our government, the politicians and civil servants, to account.
Malaysians must understand that PMs come and go….(although in Malaysia many are reluctant to go, but love to cling on to power).
Governments still function and the country does not stop working, just because a PM has to be removed or is ill or is incapacitated or simply drops off the face of the earth…
So, lets get on with the “Yusoff Rawther vs Anwar Ibrahim” trial and hopefully put this distraction to bed. If someone is found guilty of whatever, then let justice be done.
Hopefully, any other distractions are thwarted because we do need to move forwards as there are many more important matters concerning the country, that we must deal with.
Lawan tetap lawan.
