The MACC is looking for Najib’s former “PR man” Paul Stadlen, in connection with 1MDB. Do you know where he is? Errr… BTW, why has Stadlen “permanent resident” status?

At the height of his power, the disgraced, former PM, Najib Abdul Razak employed a British citizen called Paul Stadlen as his public relations and press operations chief.

Stadlen was the head of Apco Malaysia and Najib paid him millions of ringgits. Rakyat’s money.

The 39-year-old fled the night of Najib’s defeat on 9 May. He was not going to hang around and feared for his freedom.

Today, the MACC is looking for Stadlen. They want to ask him about 1MDB .

They released a statement which said, “The man, Paul Geoffrey Stadlen’s, 39, last known address was Unit A-29-8, Blok A, Loft Sentral Condominium, Jalan Stesen Sentral 5, KL Sentral, 50470 Kuala Lumpur.”

So if you know of Stadlen’s whereabouts, please contact:  MACC officers Zuhaila Arip (03-8870 0364) or Fahmee Md Noor (03-8870 0419).

Some more information:

i) Stadlen is a Malaysian permanent resident. He was in charge of Najib’s public relations and press operations. He was the boss of the Malaysian office of Apco Worldwide.

iii) The Wall Street Journal said that he was a part of the Prime Minister’s Office’s (PMO) National Communications Team in 2013.

ii) In 2009, the then BN government paid Apco Worldwide RM77 million to manage Malaysia’s image internationally. The contract was reportedly renewed in 2010 amid public outcry.

iv) Sarawak Report alleged that Stadlen was paid millions of ringgit to mastermind a communications policy that resulted in the PMO’s speedy statement on PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy conviction on Feb 10, 2015.

v) Sarawak Report also alleged that Apco Worldwide was retained by the PMO at a minimum of RM3 million a year and had been commissioned for a 1MDB-related project worth another RM1.5 million.

vi) In 2015, the government denied that Stadlen had been hired as a government servant, and that he had received allowances, wages and remuneration

vii) It was also alleged that Stadlen also worked with FBC Media, a lobby group linked to a vicious online campaign against Anwar by the discredited US blogger Josh Trevino and his company, Rogue Communications.

How did Stadlen qualify for PR?

So, how did Stadlen receive “permanent residency” status?

Some foreign spouses have not received their PR. Others waited years. Some die after waiting decades.

Children become stateless, even when one parent is Malaysian, but Stadlen received his PR just like that?

Shame on Najib’s administration for their double standards and deception!

With due respect, that’s why we have a legal system, an attorney-general and the due legal process of law. You may argue that you did not elect him to represent you – however, he played (rogue or not) the system – by foul means or fair – and became your Prime Minister, your Finance Minister and possibly your Defence Minister and the Head of a, then, dominant political party. If we carry out what you have just written, then, this government is no better than the last.
We have to respect the law and allow him to have his day in court. Yes, it’s less expeditious and more expensive than the Chinese Legal System, for example; which disposes of high profile cases very quickly and summarily – but we have a democratically-elected government which judiciously follows the rule of law. That’s the difference between China and Malaysia.

Najib is a bane to Malaysia. All the woes and ills are directly linked to no one else but Najib. Let no Malaysian waste no more time and space on him. Get his trial expedited and charge him accordingy to the rule of law. A conscensus from the rakayat on his punishment. Should he be hung quietly in the prison gallow or a public execution by hanging. All done in respect as per to the rule of law in his crime of extreme corruptions and heinous murder when it is proven. Lets have no mercy on such monster. He should not be around to plague anyone anymore.
